It's engagement season and we're extremely excited for the upcoming season. Our first wedding is only 3 weeks away! We know there are a lot of you who are newly engaged and we would love the opportunity to speak with you and show you why we're more than qualified to be your DJ of choice! Runaway DJ is one of the highest rated Mobile DJ's in the entire Wine Country.
During the offseason, we've been researching what will be the hot trends in music, lighting and audio equipment. As a result we've invested thousands of dollars in all these area that are sure to help us make your wedding the best you and your guest have ever attended. |

What a season! As we complete our last 2 weddings for the season, I'd like to say THANK YOU to all of our partners who help make this our most successful season ever! The venues, the cakes, the flowers, planners, hair and make up, photgraphers....everyone! If not for you, your work and your referrals, we wouldn't have had such a great season. Thanks again! As I sit here in my office, I am thrilled to begin planning for next year. We've already started booking weddings for 2012 as well as some nice private parties. |

Our wedding of the week belongs to Jon and Olivia. This couple has been amazing to work with and I'm looking forward to doing my part and giving them the best party they've ever experienced! The venue (which is family owned and private) is in the middle of a beautiful vineyard in Healdsburg and anchored by an amazing contemporary style mansion. We've purchased a new Nikon camera and hopefully I'll learn how to use it to take some photos and post to our blog!
Look for my follow up blog post coming soon!

Well it's been a long time since my last post. We've been incredibly busy (yay). The season is off to a great start. We've had the opportunity to work for a diverse group of newlyweds with each bringing their own personality to every event. From an "oldies" wedding, to a hip "club" style affair. Our new equipment has proven to be amazing. I truly believe it gives us an edge over our competition. Also being a "one stop shop" for DJ, Planning, Lighting and Coordinating truly give our clients the "peace of mind" that they need only deal with one company for all their wedding needs. |

Congratulations to Todd and Erica Heald who were married this past Saturday at one of our private estate locations. This was a great group of folks looking to kick their shoes off and "fully" enjoy the day. The location was spectacular as was the food and music. There were some great surprises as the night went on. One was the organic gelato from a small company in Marin that used a bike to serve from (see attached pics). Then later, for those who were still a little hungry, the chef brought our some "Top Sirloin" Sliders served on Hawaiian Sweet Rolls. |

People sometimes ask me: "Jon why do you do this? You've had a successful corporate career Why DJ?" Well read this review from our latest bride and you'll see why. This may sound corny, but when I got married, we had no money and there was no "family" money available for a formal wedding. So we went down to the Sonoma County Courthouse and were married by the Justice of the Peace. Afterwards, I went back to work and Maryann went to lunch with a family friend. We never had the opportunity to have "Our Special Day" That was a long time ago. |

Our highlighted wedding for this past weekend is the Uniacke Wedding! This fun loving group of family and friends was the perfect foundation for a great day. Sova Gardens provided a beautiful backdrop for an amazing ceremony, dinner and dancing. Runaway DJ and Event Planning took care of the rest. Our team; Bret (planning/coordinating), Matt and myself (DJ, Lighting and Sound), took on the wind and cold and delivered an unforgettable event! The bride, groom, parents and a ton of their friends and family stopped by to let us know they thoroughly enjoyed themselves and will be providing recommendations and referals worthy of our effort. |

The Wine Country wedding season is off to a fast start this year and Runaway DJ Services is right in the middle of all the fun. Over the past three weekends we've had the pleasure of participating in 9 weddings (both DJ and Planning) and are excited about the ones ahead. Bret and I are very passionate about our business and are blessed to have an "amazing" group of people working with us who share the same vision for creating lasting memories and fun, interactive environments through music, lighting and uncompromised professionalism. |
